The Micropeel Plus procedure is a unique one-step, self-neutralizing treatment of chemical exfoliation designed to reduce acne and help correct environmental skin damage. Mocropeel Plus 30 and 20 are formulated with a combination of salicylic acid which refines pores and helps reduce the appearance of acne, and glycolic acid, which aid in the improvement of rough skin texture, skin blotchiness and uneven skin tone. One week following the MPP procedure, skin will undergo its renewal process and light to moderate peeling may occur.

Micropeel Plus Acids:

  • Micropeel plus 30 solution- 30% salicylic acid and 3% glycolic acid in an anhydrous delivery system
  • Micropeel plus 20 solution- 20% salicylic acid and 3% glycolic acid in an anhydrous delivery system

Micropeel Plus Results & Benefits:

  • Helps to control breakouts
  • Reduces sebum production
  • Decreases comedones and refines the appearance of pore size
  • Improves skin texture
  • May cause initial increase in acne breakouts while skin purges

Can The Micropeel Plus Be Performed On Skin Of Color?

Yes. However, skinceuticals recommends using the MPP no more then once a month on darker skin patients ( Fitzpatrick V and VI). If performed at too close of intervals (more then once per month), temporary hyperpigmentation may develop.

Cautions:

  • Do not use mpp on patients with aspirin allergies
  • Do not perform mpp more then once a month on fitzpatricks V-VI. If performed at too close of intervals temporary hyperpigmentation may develop
  • Do not use a fan during the peel as it speeds evaporation of the solution and effects efficacy
  • MPP may only be used on 25% of the body per treatment

Frequency & Intervals:

  • Patients should return every 2 weeks for a MPP during the corrective stage of their program (sensitive skin patients should return every 3-4 weeks)
  • 4-6 procedures are required to obtain desired and realistic results
  • A maximum of 2 series of 6 MPs or MPPs are recommended within a one-year period with a three-month break between each series
  • For optimal results, patients must be on a integrated skincare program that includes a customized homecare regimen along with their in-office treatments
  • MPP solution can also be used to spot treat blemishes as needed
