Lauren Sullivan is a Board Certified Physician Assistant, and has been practicing in family medicine and wellness for 12 years. She has training in both conventional and functional medicine, with interests in hormone therapy, thyroid disorders, autoimmune disease, gut health, nutrition, and cardiometabolic health. She is committed to empowering patients to feel their best through education and developing personalized strategies to reach their individual health goals. She incorporates specialized testing and therapies to evaluate connections between a person’s genetics, environment, and lifestyle factors that influence the outcome of one’s health.

In addition to Lauren’s work in clinical medicine, she has a passion for understanding the complexities in the physiological and anatomical workings of the human body. She has experience working with the surgical patient and assisting in the operating room. Lauren is skilled at providing aesthetic injectables, with interest in combining applications to achieve anti-aging results for patients who want to reflect their inner restorative success with a more youthful appearance.

Lauren completed her undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University in 2007, with a Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Science. She then obtained her Masters of Medical Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL, graduating with honors in her program in 2009. She has mentored under locally renowned wellness specialist, John Johnston, MD, whom she attributes to sparking her passion for practicing with both a personalized and functional approach. Lauren considers herself a “forever student,” and actively pursues education beyond her conventional PA curricula to provide patients with evidence-based medical knowledge that supports a more functional model of care. She is a fellow in training of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and is a licensed BioTE Hormone Therapy Provider. She has studied functional nutritional therapies, including applications of food elimination diets, low FODMAP diets, low carb, and intermittent fasting therapies.

She is a native Houstonian, and graduated from Clear Lake High School. She is married and is a “boy mom” to her sons Maverick and Merrick. Lauren loves the ocean and water sports of any kind. She is fond of animals, and enjoys horseback riding, playing with their family dog Goose, and maintaining her saltwater aquarium. She believes in the power of prayer, and the importance of practicing mindfulness and gratitude.
